HLPF political declaration revised draft for discussion on Wed 12 June
The informal consultations on the political declaration tomorrow have been postponed in order to facilitate further discussion and review.
At present, the adjourned date has not been announced. I will provide an update when further details are available.
Travel Support to the 2019 HLPF for MGoS Participants
The co-facilitators, Ambassadors Sheila Gweneth Carey of Bahamas and Olof Skoog of Sweden, of the intergovernmental consultations, have shared a revised draft of the political declaration for the HLPF under the auspices of the General Assembly, which will be discussed on Wednesday 12 June at 10.00 (New York time) in the Trusteeship Council Chamber.

Please note that the first discussion of the Political Declaration for the two meetings of the UN High-level Political Forum, with Ambassadors Sheila Gweneth Carey of the Bahamas and Olof Skoog of Sweden will be taking place on 15 May, 10 AM, in the ECOSOC chamber.

As many of you know, this year the High-Level Political Forum for Sustainable Development (HLPF) will meet twice – once under the auspices of ECOSOC held from July 9-18, and once under the auspices of the General Assembly, referred to as the SDG Summit, which will take place 24-25 September. Both will be held at the UNHQ in New York. A Political Declaration reflecting the outcomes of both HLPFs will be adopted by heads of state and government at the SDG Summit in September.
